Vacation Mode--Here I Come!

I've put this off for as long as I can, but both of my shops are now in vacation mode while I finish current orders and prepare to move into our new home. I'm hoping to reopen the beginning of October w/ new items, gifts, and home decor for the holidays and more! Thanks for your patience while we make this transition in our lives.

I had my first two Artfire sales today!

I must say I was a little disgruntled w/ Artfire after having a shop there for over 8 months w/ out one sale and not many views. However, I had sale #1 and #2 this afternoon. I may just give Artfire another shot and list some more items after we move.

Big Goals for the Rest of the Year!

In addition to planning for fall and winter craft shows, upcoming farmer's market days, a big trunk show in August, etc., I really want to continue to grow my Etsy shop. Here are my goals for August and the rest of the year:

--Reach 400 sales by the end of summer (need 24 more at this point)
--Reach 500 sales by the end of the year (very ambitious, but I think I can do it!)

Anyone else have any big goals for the rest of the year? I'm planning a big sale for my Etsy anniversary date (Oct. 1st) as well as a few holiday sales.

What has your business done for you lately?

I've been thinking of this as more of a business than a hobby for about 6 months now, and I can honestly say that my sales have gone up since I've taken it more seriously. I'm putting in more time in designing my items and marketing (forums, Twitter, etc.). Up until this point, my earnings have mainly gone to buy other business supplies and for odds and ends, gifts, etc. (mainly for my daughter). However, I have some goals that I'd really like to meet over the summer, so I'm hoping for some continued sales.

With earnings from my business, I really want to....
1. buy my family tickets to Dora Live! that's coming to Columbus in June.
2. buy my daughter a sandbox, slide, and some other outdoor items to play w/ over the summer.

So if you have your own business and/ or Etsy shop, what are some of your goals for the summer months?
