Just some updates

Nothing too interesting here, but I survived my first Christmas in July sale last Saturday. It was a fun way to get some sales while chatting w/ new people on Etsy. I definitely plan to do it again on Black Friday and next year.

I'm currently filling orders, planning items for upcoming fall craft shows, and trying to squeeze in some time to reorganize my scrapping space. It's so much better already!

I'm hoping to get more fall/ Halloween/ Christmas stuff listed soon, as well as some new items. Looking for anything in particular--gift tags, premade pages, holiday cards, etc? I'd love to hear some requests!

New ideas, Christmas In July, etc.

First, look for big sales in my shop the last week or two in July. I'm participating in Etsy's and The Little Black Box Christmas in July sale! I have lots to finish up and list still, but it's coming! It's a great way to get started on gifts (or cards or gift tags for yourself) while saving some $$ early.

I have a few new ideas, but I'd love to know what people think. I just got a new Cricut cartridge that cuts paper dolls, fairy tale characters and scenes (3 Little Pigs, Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, etc.), and I'm really excited to play with it! I'm thinking of making the characters along w/ the settings (straw house, etc.) in a few different ways, but this is where I need your opinions. Here are my ideas:

--make them and paper piece them w/ cardstock, mat on chipboard, then adhere them to craft sticks for more of a puppet show feel
--make them as above, then add magnets to the back to be used w/ cookie sheets or on refridgerators
--make them as above, then add velcro on the backs to be used w/ flannel boards
--just make the characters and sell as sets for classrooms, etc.

Any thoughts? I'll give a free set to someone who posts a comment offering advice. :)

All around town...

So, Little S and I went to the Pink Moon Cupcake Bakery in Powell, Ohio today to take some onesies for consignment at the Circa Circus shop. I loved it! I'm very excited for the opportunity to try onesies on consignment, and especially, in Old Powell. I've included some photos of the display inside the shop.

If you're around central Ohio, I now have..

--Journal Jars and Trifold Frames in Roscoe Village

--Cards at Smoothie Brews coffee shop in Pataskala

--and now Onesies at the Pink Moon Cupcake Bakery in Powell

New items for kids!

I'm not sure about listing all of these on Etsy due to licensing issues, but I wanted to let you know that I'm currently working on invites and paper bag albums for Thomas the Tank Engine, Dora the Explorer, Diego, Blue's Clues, Disney, and Superman.

If you're interested in any of these, I can always do a custom listing for you. I'll post pictures when I get a chance!

Thanks! Have a Happy 4th of July!
