My New Scrapbook Room/ Home Office

Finally, my room is almost together and I have some pictures to share! I absolutely love it w/ the bright green walls and white desk/ table/ accents. This is the same desk, table, and shelves as before (dk. brown), only repainted white for this room. It's so much more spacious w/ a large closet for storage. I love it!

Happy Thanksgiving

I really do have so much to be thankful this year. I have a beautiful new home and a wonderful family. I have a husband who works hard every day so that I can stay home with our little girl. I have a little girl who finds new ways to make me smile every day.

Take time today to really appreciate all of the things in your life that make you thankful to be you. I truly am blessed.

***Not to truly ruin the spirit of this post but my weekend sale starts tomorrow! Did I mention I'm so thankful that I'm able to have my Etsy shop and spend my time creating?

New Ecofriendly Shop Item!

I recently went to an event in Columbus that had items that companies were donating to keep them from being thrown into landfills. Artists, teachers, others were invited to come and rummage through the items to take what they could use. I find many ceramic tiles in various colors, as well as smaller ceramic tiles that were of excellent quality and perfect for magnets!

Voila--new magnets for my shop using these tiles saved from the landfill and scrap paper! I love how they turned out and will be listing them in my shop soon. For the December "green" theme in the Etsy Columbus variety boxes, I packaged them in small 3x3 envelopes made from recycled papers in the DCWV Green Stack.

Let me know your thoughts. Want to see more magnet sets in my shop?

It's My Birthday!

I'm taking it easy today and spending time with the family for my birthday. My parents, brother and sister-in-law are all meeting us for lunch later, then we'll drive over to pick up my new dining room buffet I bought. Hoping to get some time at the park or at least playing outside with the little one today, too, and enjoy this nice weather.

Two Craft Shows in Less Than 1 Week

I normally only do a few craft shows each year, and yet, I'm now doing 2 craft shows in less than 7 days. Yikes! I feel like my custom orders are falling behind, nothing new listed on Etsy or Artfire, less blog posts, etc. I truly don't know how people keep up the routine of shows every weekend. I'm frazzled!

Wish me luck. I will admit that the extra cash is nice. :)

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank all of the veterans out there who have made so many contributions to our country's freedom. We do appreciate it!

Mommy's Helper

Some of you may remember that my daughter stopped taking naps about a month ago. She sleeps much better at night, but there are no uninterrupted breaks for Mommy during the day to work now. Since she's almost 3, she wants to be Mommy's Helper all day every day. Everything I do, she wants to do, which really slows down my progress. Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad that she loves "arts and crafts" time.

As I'm cramming for tomorrow's craft show, she stole my cork for the back of the coasters and set up a "park" of "slides and bridges" for her friends. LOL

New Rag Wreaths!

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to list these in my Etsy and Artfire shops yet, but I'll definitely take custom orders. Here's a couple of quick shots of one I made for the holiday season. Just need to finish off the top still and get it ready to hang. Little S has already made a request for a pink/ brown one for her bedroom. LOL

Let me know what you think!
