Holiday Orders--Almost Caught Up!

I've had a major holiday rush the last week or so, and I'm happy to say that I'm almost caught up! If you still need a last minute gift, please let me know in the next day or so to ensure holiday delivery. So far, coaster sets, custom photo coasters, and post-it note holders have all been really popular!

Last Day For Custom Orders and Holiday Delivery

The last day that I am guaranteeing custom orders for holiday delivery is this Saturday, December 12th. All custom orders placed after this date may not arrive in time for the holidays depending on the size of the order, complexity, etc.

All orders must be placed by December 15th to avoid additional shipping charges and to be guaranteed in time for holiday delivery. I know the post office deadline is a few days after this, but I'd rather not rush until the very end. Thanks!

Wordless Wednesday--Quirky Creative

Using felt food, little S came up with new Halloween costumes for her stuffed "friends." (that's what she said at least when I asked her what she was doing)
I love this kid. :)

More Kid-Sized Friday Favorites--GooseHillDesigns

Marianne of GooseHillDesigns has been an online buddy of mine for about a year now, and I love her line of crayons for a few reasons. First, they are recycling at its best. Second, they work so well when little ones don't quite have the grasp to hold a crayon correctly and need to "palm" it. Here are a few of the items from her shop that would be perfect first birthday gifts, stocking stuffers, etc.

Set of 6 Custom Personalized Marble Letter or Number Crayons $6.95
Set of 8 Holiday Crayons $5.95

She even has cupcake crayons!!

Make sure you place your order by December 11th to avoid additional shipping charges around the holidays. :)

My New Scrapbook Room/ Home Office

Finally, my room is almost together and I have some pictures to share! I absolutely love it w/ the bright green walls and white desk/ table/ accents. This is the same desk, table, and shelves as before (dk. brown), only repainted white for this room. It's so much more spacious w/ a large closet for storage. I love it!

Happy Thanksgiving

I really do have so much to be thankful this year. I have a beautiful new home and a wonderful family. I have a husband who works hard every day so that I can stay home with our little girl. I have a little girl who finds new ways to make me smile every day.

Take time today to really appreciate all of the things in your life that make you thankful to be you. I truly am blessed.

***Not to truly ruin the spirit of this post but my weekend sale starts tomorrow! Did I mention I'm so thankful that I'm able to have my Etsy shop and spend my time creating?

New Ecofriendly Shop Item!

I recently went to an event in Columbus that had items that companies were donating to keep them from being thrown into landfills. Artists, teachers, others were invited to come and rummage through the items to take what they could use. I find many ceramic tiles in various colors, as well as smaller ceramic tiles that were of excellent quality and perfect for magnets!

Voila--new magnets for my shop using these tiles saved from the landfill and scrap paper! I love how they turned out and will be listing them in my shop soon. For the December "green" theme in the Etsy Columbus variety boxes, I packaged them in small 3x3 envelopes made from recycled papers in the DCWV Green Stack.

Let me know your thoughts. Want to see more magnet sets in my shop?

It's My Birthday!

I'm taking it easy today and spending time with the family for my birthday. My parents, brother and sister-in-law are all meeting us for lunch later, then we'll drive over to pick up my new dining room buffet I bought. Hoping to get some time at the park or at least playing outside with the little one today, too, and enjoy this nice weather.

Two Craft Shows in Less Than 1 Week

I normally only do a few craft shows each year, and yet, I'm now doing 2 craft shows in less than 7 days. Yikes! I feel like my custom orders are falling behind, nothing new listed on Etsy or Artfire, less blog posts, etc. I truly don't know how people keep up the routine of shows every weekend. I'm frazzled!

Wish me luck. I will admit that the extra cash is nice. :)

Thank you!

I just wanted to thank all of the veterans out there who have made so many contributions to our country's freedom. We do appreciate it!

Mommy's Helper

Some of you may remember that my daughter stopped taking naps about a month ago. She sleeps much better at night, but there are no uninterrupted breaks for Mommy during the day to work now. Since she's almost 3, she wants to be Mommy's Helper all day every day. Everything I do, she wants to do, which really slows down my progress. Don't get me wrong, I'm so glad that she loves "arts and crafts" time.

As I'm cramming for tomorrow's craft show, she stole my cork for the back of the coasters and set up a "park" of "slides and bridges" for her friends. LOL

New Rag Wreaths!

I haven't decided yet if I'm going to list these in my Etsy and Artfire shops yet, but I'll definitely take custom orders. Here's a couple of quick shots of one I made for the holiday season. Just need to finish off the top still and get it ready to hang. Little S has already made a request for a pink/ brown one for her bedroom. LOL

Let me know what you think!

The Halloween Fairy

Just wanted to post a few of my favorite Halloween photos here. Little S had lots of fun last night, and even though she doesn't get a lot of sugar normally, she's loving the fact that she has a huge basket full of candy that she thinks she's going to get to eat. LOL

Over the next few weeks, I'll be at the Church of the Redeemer Christmas Market on November 7th in Reynoldsburg, OH and the Mettler-Toledo United Way Holiday Shopping Event on November 13th near Polaris. My work is consigned at the Circa Circus shop at the Pink Moon Cupcake Bakery in Powell, Ohio.

I'm hoping to get in a show in Granville, Ohio in early December, so I'll keep you posted.

Friday Favorites--Fairy Wings

How do you keep a toddler busy for hours? Buy her fairy wings and a tutu, of course! My daughter and I met with local Etsyian, CurlyGirlBowTique, today, and were thrilled with her customer service. She brought several sets of wings and tutus that my daughter could try on and pick from for her Halloween costume, and having a daughter of her own, she was extremely patient. Did I mention that the wings and tutus are absolutely adorable AND reasonably-priced?

When we got home, all Little S wanted to do was wear her tutu and wings and "fly" around the house. Seriously. She's going to sleep great tonight. :)

the tutu skirt ($10)

the fairy wings ($8, small)

Hopefully, we'll get more done tomorrow, and then the movers come on Monday to get all of the big items for the new house. 399 Sales!

My next sale, #400, will get some great freebies w/ their order. Will it be you?

Back Open For Business!

While I haven't added any new items beyond relisting, I'm happy to say that both my Etsy and Artfire shops are back open as of this afternoon. Since it looks like this house moving/ closing is going to keep dragging out a bit, I need to keep busy to keep my mind off of things.

Sophia and I are both so excited to get them, add them to some white frames, and hang them in her new playroom. Yay!

I had my first two Artfire sales today!

I must say I was a little disgruntled w/ Artfire after having a shop there for over 8 months w/ out one sale and not many views. However, I had sale #1 and #2 this afternoon. I may just give Artfire another shot and list some more items after we move.

The Wedding Coaster Order

I've had so many people asking me what the wedding coasters look like for the 400 coaster order. This is a custom design that Sugarelli created for the bride-to-be, and I love how it's such a simple statement of love for their wedding day. The detail that she created digitally in the tree is amazing! Enjoy!

Friday Favorites--Printable Papers!

I confess--I'm addicted to scrapbook paper and use it for everything from the obvious cards and scrapbooking to decoupage and packing envelopes. I love it and can't get enough. Over the last few months, I've discovered printable scrapbooking papers on Etsy, and I love them ,too! The damask patterns in my shop are actually a printable paper that I purchased from Etsy seller cupcakecutiees, and they've been really popular items. Here are a few from my favorites:
Cupcakecutiees has great shop specials and sells everything from scrabble tile size to 8 1/2x11.

Damask--2 colors for $3.50 then print it as many times as you'd like!

Greenka sells everything from printable party supplies and business supplies to paper packs and more!
Printable Kiwi and Avocado Paper Pack--8 papers for $8

Big Goals for the Rest of the Year!

In addition to planning for fall and winter craft shows, upcoming farmer's market days, a big trunk show in August, etc., I really want to continue to grow my Etsy shop. Here are my goals for August and the rest of the year:

--Reach 400 sales by the end of summer (need 24 more at this point)
--Reach 500 sales by the end of the year (very ambitious, but I think I can do it!)

Anyone else have any big goals for the rest of the year? I'm planning a big sale for my Etsy anniversary date (Oct. 1st) as well as a few holiday sales.

Recent Press--the Zrust Wedding!

If you haven't had the chance to check out the Etsy shop, RockerByeBaby, you're really missing out. She has such unique rocker items for little kids including bedding, clothing, and more. When she recently contacted me about items for her handmade wedding gifts, I immediately wanted to be a part of it and work with her!

Here's the blog post about her handmade wedding bridesmaid gifts, all in a black and white damask color scheme:

In the photo of the items for her bridesmaid bags, those are my thank you cards and damask matchbook albums in the upper right corner. :) AND she mentioned in her blog post that her favorite items were the little black and white damask clothespin clips from my shop. Yay!
I absolutely love working with fellow Etsy sellers and helping others make their special day an unforgettable one.

Custom Packaging

I've been working on custom packaging ideas lately, especially bag toppers and clippie cards for some of my craft show/ trunk show items. I really think that it dresses up the items and gives it a more professional/ polished look. Let me know what you think. I'm debating listing custom hair clippie/ jewelry cards and bag toppers in my Etsy shop as Mompreneur items, too.

Long Time, No See?

So after spending a few days at my parents house, 4 showings in the last week, etc., I realized that I hadn't blogged at all this week. Oops! I decided to take the rest of the week off to catch up on a few custom orders and a few odds and ends around the house. I promise that I'll be back to my normal blogging this next week again. :) AND.....I promise to update my Etsy shop again soon, too. I really do have lots of new items, just need to find the time to take pictures and upload them.

Wordless Wednesday--My Dream Closet

Yep, you read that right-my dream closet. I saw this email Tuesday evening, and I want this closet. I could keep everything at hand, then shut the door instead of cleaning up before company. I think my husband even liked it! More photos and details are posted on the Everything Etsy website at www.everythingetsy.com
