Inspiration Tuesday--Pinterest!

I'm beginning to really love Pinterest lately and find that I'm searching there more and more for just about everything. It's my inspiration for new crafts, household projects, and more. This week, I found some new ideas for a few of my organizational pieces from my last Willow House party, and I can't wait to use them around the house.

Preparing for the July Scrapbooking Challenges

I spent this past weekend really trying to get organized for my upcoming July scrapbooking challenge. Sat--uploading and ordering photos that I might need. Sunday and Monday--putting together some page kits using supplies I already have on hand. This is a great way to speed up your scrapping and make the most of your time when you do scrapbook. I'm doing it tomorrow so that I can see what supplies I might need to buy still to create the pages I'm going to be working on in July.

If you're not familiar w/ creating page kits, there are some great online resources that describe how to sort through your supplies and put together themed kits w/ your photos. It really helps you see what you might need. Gallon and 2 gallon freezer bags are a great way to organize these and can be used over and over. Look for more blog posts throughout July. Enjoy your last few days of spending before we start our no-buy in July challenge!

My New Stamp Shelf!

I know I've posted before about my amazing scrapbooking table w/ organizing cubes and the computer desk w/ shelves that my hubby built for my scrapbooking room, but he's done it again. I gave him a simple idea that I found online for stamp storage, and he truly took that idea and made a beautiful piece for my room. It's so nice that I can now see the stamps that I have and can find them much faster instead of rooting through boxes. (all of my stamps minus my alphabet stamps ) Yay! Let me know what you think. He loves feedback and positive comments. :)

Room Swap 2009 Makeover w/ Pictures!!

We actually were able to swap the two rooms in two days, and they look great! I'm adjusting to my much smaller office/ scrap space, and my daughter's bedroom looks huge now in her new space. If you're a newer blog reader, here's a link w/ what my scrapbook room used to look like:

It's now been taken over by my daughter's new "big girl" toddler bedroom.

Her old nursery
is now my new workspace.

What do you think? Let's hear your thoughts! Think it makes the rooms look bigger/ nicer/ etc. and will help us sell the house? I never imagined having a lavendar office w/ butterflies on the wall, but we're not changing it now. LOL We have a showing tonight, so wish us luck!

Friday Favorites- A few of mine for redecorating and organizing

Happy May Day! It's been awhile since I've done a Friday Favorites section, so here are a few of my favorite Etsy items for redecorating (or just to add a touch of color). I'm living vicariously through this post in the hopes that our house will sell this summer (or before then!), and I can purchase some of these when I get to redecorate again. Enjoy a few of my personal favorites!

While they're not in her shop quite yet, my friend Amanda from QuiltedMemories4u on Etsy is working on shower curtains, table runners/ table cloths, and more! She's fabulous to work with, and her attention to detail is very professional. Please tell her that Traci sent you and that she loves custom orders!
