Blown Away -- Literally!

It's not very often that we see a hurricane in central Ohio (more like never!). However, the remnants of Hurricane Ike did considerable damage, and most schools are still closed again today after Sunday's wind storm. I've never seen or heard winds like that before! I think they said they were upwards of 70 or 80mph sustained winds for hours on Sunday, and my house lost power Sunday evening after a day of constant flickering on and off. We're currently staying at my parents house (with power), so I will update my blog and Etsy shop more when I return tomorrow.

My goodness! I hope power is up and running soon for you! I cannot believe how much of the weather we have gotten from those hurricanes! It has rained here (literally) for almost 2 weeks straight. My lawn went from brown to green really quick! LOL I am ready for some sunshine. :) We had a tornado come through nearby as well, but luckily we weren't affected. Hope you are back in your own bed soon! :)

The weather and the effects of Hurricane Ike are just crazy. I'm glad to hear that you are okay, though.

Strong winds are scary...and they can be so damaging. Glad to hear the power is the only thing you lost >^.^<
